As part of the 'Solidarity with Ukraine' project run by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange, we organised a Polish language course. The course was dedicated to students from Ukraine who had to interrupt their studies in their homeland and come to Poland after 24 February 2022. Its aim was to prepare young foreigners to study at Polish universities.
The project was implemented from the beginning of May until the end of September 2022. During its duration, a group of students participated in as many as 350 lessons of intensive learning of Polish as a foreign language from level A1 to B1. The teachers conducting the classes focused not only on teaching general Polish, but also its scientific variety related to the students' chosen fields of study and their scientific interests.
The course provided students with comprehensive support in learning Polish as a foreign language with a particular focus on the cultural and linguistic challenges of studying at a Polish university.
